FLIRTING: By all means try, if your character is into weird bone monsters! He'll flirt right back. Just be comfortable with the fact that he's definitely doing it as a joke.
FIGHTING: Unless your character has done something really, really, really, really awful, I can't see Sans summoning the energy to fight back. Tho fair warning: Sans has a semi-godly ability to dodge. If it's hard to land a hit on him, I promise I'm not trying to godmode you, seriously! You kinda have to take him by surprise.
INJURY: Related to the above... hitting Sans (even just once) with intent to hurt will probably kill him. For the purposes of not making people accidental murderers non-lethal hits without intent to harm will not kill him. Let's just talk it out first, he's fragile!
MINDREADING: Sure! Tho there is a lot there under the surface that Sans will almost never discuss openly and he will be seriously uncomfy to have anyone probing around in there, so let's chat about it first

Okay, so, Sans has a few abilities that hinge on his observational skills of others and a few more associated with his magic. I'd really appreciate it if you could fill out this form for your characters, just so I can know whether to hold back and/or how Sans should read them! For examples of how others have filled out this form in the past, please see the comments on my former permissions post.

Comic Sans?: Sans canonically speaks in comic sans ms, except for when he is being serious and/or threatening. I will handwave this for speaking, but when typing I intend to have him use his usual comic sans. If that's a little eyestrainy or just plain offensively ugly (believe me, i'm a graphic designer, i get it), just lemme know and I can handwave its presence!

May Sans pick up on your character's LV? If so, what is their LV?: In Undertale, "LV" stands for "Level of Violence" and marks the amount of killing someone has done in their life. However, more accurately, it measures how comfortable a person is killing another person and how detached they feel from the "act" of killing. Sans canonically is very good at picking up on this through observation.
If you're fine with Sans picking up on this, give me a number on a scale of 1-20 for your character! 1 being 'has never killed ever if they did, it would be fairly traumatic' and 20 being 'would feel nothing killing a child if it was in their way/feels nothing about killing in general.'
NOTE: Don't worry if your character is from a video game and may "technically" have a huge kill count due to gameplay that does not match their true relationship with killing -- I'm not here to scold you for ludo-narrative aspects of your canon, just go based on your character's personality!
May Sans teleport your character?: Once Sans gets the layout of a location memorized, he will eventually start teleporting around it. He's capable of teleporting others as well, and objects. He tends to do this fairly abruptly, so lemme know if you're open to him doing this midthread! He'll usually ask, but he tends to do it anyway regardless of the answer.
NOTE: I've discussed this ability with the mods and there are places Sans cannot teleport to and/or magical barriers will block his teleportation from time to time. This is not hard at all for me to justify ICly, but just know that I know how gamebreaky this ability can be and I won't be abusing it!
May Sans magically affect your character?: Unless your character is actively threatening the fabric of the universe, he will almost certainly not attack you. However, Sans has the ability to manipulate gravity on a person -- levitation (that he controls), increased gravity, etc. If you're open to him using that in certain situations, lemme know! Also let me know if your character has an inborn resistance to this.
Any observations Sans can make about your character? Sans was a scientist a long time ago, and takes extremely careful note of his surroundings. As a result, his observation skills are sharp -- right down to reading the amount of times he's killed someone by looking at their face.
For the sake of adding a little fun to my time in game, I like to believe that observational habit extends to the other characters he meats in game. If there anything about your character he'll be able to intuit by sight, please lemme know!
And if for any reason, you would prefer not to have Sans (and by extension, me) keep tabs on your character and record their doings, please let me know! I won't have him "see" anything beyond threads that would realistically be observable to him (such as network threading or public conversations where he is also present), but if even that's too much please don't hesitate to opt out!

May Sans magically affect your character?: Only if he's willing to get blown up a little bit?
Any observations Sans can make about your character? Generally grumpy, not a bad person (though he IS kind of a jerk), he sweats nitroglycerin...you know, the usual.

She's never intentionally killed before, but was fine condemning countless variations of herself to be born and die in order to save the Doctor. When she actually kills someone for the first time it would likely be pretty scarring for her.
May Sans teleport your character?: Sure. Teleport her wherever.

Any observations Sans can make about your character? def. she would be flattered to be the subject of someone's observations. As far as general observations go, the most noticeable is that she's pretty chill about being in space and treats a lot of things on the station as one big whimsical adventure. she's prone to being bossy and flirty annnnnnd she also likely mother hens a lot of people. As far as little behaviors go she tends to use her hands/gestures a lot when talking, is very animated when talking, and does things like bite at her finger or twirl the rings on her fingers when anxious. Her friendship with the Doctor likely will stand out quickly as well.

May Sans pick up on your character's LV? If so, what is their LV?: Y! This is a bit gray area but let's say 2 for Shinji. He accidentally killed someone once (because of his Persona going out of control) and is Extremely Traumatized about it. Ending up in a situation where he would have to kill someone with actual intent behind it would be absolutely devastating.
However, he has made sketchy deals for persona suppressant drugs with a group of known violent thugs and kind of looked the other way about it because it's not like there was anything he can do (and he thinks it's too late for him to be a good person anyway), so that edges him juuust past LV1.

Any observations Sans can make about your character? Highkey Depressed, clearly uncomfortable with positive attention. His body language is very withdrawn (hunched inward, gaze low, hands always in pockets) and he generally prefers to wallflower around the edges of groups rather than mingle. He's often cold because he messed up his body with persona suppressants. He has an impressive resting bitchface that tries to project "don't fuck with me, go away" but actually interacting with him for any length of time reveals he's actually really nice despite his outer coarseness. He's desperate to project an aura of being a mean and scary person and consistently fails at actually achieving it. He loves dogs and cooking and he's the kind of person who fusses a lot about others' well-being but is uncomfortable getting invested in people so it comes out grumpy.

Flynn is very staunchly against killing for any reason, and believes in all other forms of justice first, but he has contributed to the deaths of people who are very notedly evil and has come to terms with his best friend's, uh, alternative views on the subject.

Any observations Sans can make about your character? Flynn's very controlled, and while he is actually that polite and kind, a lot of it is masking his true feelings. He's also a natural leader and comfortable with authority, but doesn't like to actually take credit for those things unless he earned them. Also, the way he speaks is very formal, but that drops around people he's close to because it's not the way he grew up talking.

May Sans teleport your character?: Go for it. If it may kill an intense scene feel free to PM before doing it.

Any observations Sans can make about your character? Nature vs nurture? Shuusei has never had another option so he has taken to this one. He may have not been as desensitized to violence if they didn’t predetermine he would be.

May Sans pick up on your character's LV? If so, what is their LV?: Sure! He's about a 4 or 5: he's killed people, and while he doesn't necessarily regret it, he also regards it stoically and does not like to talk about it.

Any observations Sans can make about your character? Kim's clearly a policeman, always wary and ready to take action. He's extremely farsighted, very much needing his glasses to see. He's more prone to defending over attacking, and is far more excited and happy than he normally lets rise to the surface.

I'm waffling on a number, but Yzak Has Killed and one of his war crimes was blowing up a shuttle of civilians (which he thought were escaping soldiers, but, still, you know, at the time he was still like FUCK YOU ESCAPING COWARDS PEW PEW). He still does kill because he's a soldier and he has to, so is comfortable in a "used to it and has to compartmentalize probably" sense, but less so in a detached sense because he does not enjoy it! Would not do it if he had the choice! He regrets a lot of what he did since he used to be Much Worse about it.
May Sans teleport your character?: Yes Yzak will be like WHAT the HELL but I am down.

Any observations Sans can make about your character? He's Very Used to space and as a Coordinator has the whole genetically enhanced everything going on - strength, speed, learning capabilities. Tsundere military man, bad at feelings but also very obvious about them. Fidgets when impatient. Always keeping busy/hates feeling out of control or without goals.

He has done zero killing and refused to even in self defense against people trying to kill him so. As much as he will fight and won't hold back on hurting someone, he won't kill. He refuses, even as a soldier. So I guess his would be a 1 or 0 or whatever.
May Sans teleport your character?: Sure, he has no way to stop Sans doing so. He just might be confused or angry, depending.
May Sans magically affect your character?: He has no resistance against this but he may be heavier than Sans anticipates? Given the auto-mail limbs.
Any observations Sans can make about your character? Has a temper but really a softie. Almost always wearing black and red and usually fully covered with pants/long sleeves. May note the auto-mail if he isn't wearing gloves. Has a pocket watch always on him. Otherwise, unless something is marked as filtered/private he is free to note stuff on the network (idk if Ed is even aware on that yet!) or if a log is occurring somewhere public Sans might be around.

May Sans magically affect your character?: Yes. He doesn't have any defense against it as such, but he's pretty quick to react against attacks. He'll possibly grab on to something and Sans might have to use a surprising amount of force?
Any observations Sans can make about your character? Sebastian's a good actor, but he's not so good that a perceptive character won't be able to tell he fake-smiles a lot and is really not a very nice person. He oozes confidence even while acting polite and ~~just a humble servant~~. Gets irritated very easily but shoves it down under a Customer Service Smile most of the time. I'm always okay with people being able to tell he's not human, whether they can magically sense it or just through sheer "he's too weird to be human".

Any observations Sans can make about your character? Solemn, serious, she and her bells give off some seriously weird magical vibes. Gets weird whenever the subject of death is brought up. Actually a pretty skilled mage, even outside of the necromancy.

May Sans pick up on your character's LV? If so, what is their LV?: Yes. Sam was a pararescue in the united states airforce deployed on two combat tours to Afghanistan. So while the goal of his training and his personal primary focus has always been saving people, he's also a trained soldier, and if you shoot at him, he will shoot back. He prefers to solve conflicts without violence, he will hurt badly over non-combatants getting hurt, or having to fight someone he believes could be redeemed, but he has also shot and killed both alien troops and regular human combatants with efficiency. Maybe that puts him at a solid 9? Definitely leaning more on the side of preferring non-lethal combat, but will shoot to kill if given no other option, and might not always be remorseful about a life lost either.
May Sans teleport your character?: Yes. Sam might be disgruntled if it happens without his permission, but he has no way to prevent it and I'm OOC fine with it ;)
May Sans magically affect your character?: Yes - Sam can fly with his mechanical wingsuit and jetpack, so I'm sure the gravity manipulation could actually lead to some cool stuff.
Any observations Sans can make about your character?
Sam is really really really good at seeming fine. He might not always be full of smiles, but he will let his heart bleed out in empathy for others, while refusing to put a bandaid on himself. He rarely asks for help when it comes to himself and his personal wellbeing, even though careful observation might reveal that he doesn't always sleep well either, that grief sits very heavily on him, both old and new, and that he carries the weight of the world on his shoulders and does his best not to complain about it. He's cheerful, likes to banter and quip, and is very good at seeming completely open with people, so they don't notice that he's keeping them at arm's length and not letting them get to know him, truly. He's also very aware of only being human and keeps his body in excellent shape, though he never uses his height and build to try and physically intimidate other people.
And perhaps through who/what Sans is: Sam has died before, and recently come back to life. He was never a body without a soul left to rot away, but has been disintegrated and brought back into existence 5 years later.

Any observations Sans can make about your character? Sure, feel free to notice things about Newton! He's currently under the slow influence of precursors (read: spooky aliens) who have infiltrated his mind, but that's not particularly something that can be picked up on without studying his lil brain and what's going on in there. This probably won't be noticeable for some time!
Other than that, feel free to have him notice whatever else about Newton that gets displayed in brackets or in public aboard the station!

If so, what is their LV?: lmao yes. he's like a 15. he has a superficial understanding of empathy (i.e. it exists, humans experience it, possibly it's a little silly), very little of his own, and was recently homicidally insane (he's better now). though he seems to be capable of remorse, he doesn't really care about loss of human or robot life beyond his own, like, at all. it's implied he's directly responsible for the deaths of five test subjects and also he was in charge of 10,000 sleeping humans in stasis and they all died when the facility's reserve power failed. though it's possible they would have died anyway, he certainly felt nothing about it, so.

Any observations Sans can make about your character? oh you know he's just a little robot guy. though his Big Secret is probably not immediately obvious, it's not necessarily difficult to realize that he's probably compensating for something.

May Sans pick up on your character's LV? If so, what is their LV?: Yes and it's probably uuuh 10-12? Syrlya's pretty numb to the necessity of killing and he has a high body count (most of it corrupted monsters but there's also quite a bit of actual people he's killed), but it's always for the sake of protecting other people/the world and not just... blind murder. He doesn't instigate unnecessary fights and if he has a chance to extend mercy, he will, but he really doesn't bank on it.

Any observations Sans can make about your character? He is a plant. Uuh controlled body language, straight posture, voice dips into a weariness sometimes although he tries to keep it even. Sans is free to stalk Syr and catch anything that's public.
