hey there, kiddo. i thought you might come this way again.

i wanted to catch a glimpse of you at the attack, but i'll be honest... it was rougher than you let on. i get the feeling that wasn't part of the plan, was it? i guess i have some theories as to why, but i don't wanna spend what little time i have to write this note speculating.

some of our people are hurt. from what i understand, that curse you mentioned is afflicting them too. they're gonna be okay, people here are smart. and it was just like i told you, everyone was really understanding once finn and i told them the truth behind what happened here. they're good people... better than i gave them credit for, honestly.

i get that you don't trust me. i'm not even gonna say you should. but i'm worried about you. i dunno if your control over what's happening to those people is as steady as you need it to be to do what you're trying to do. more people could get hurt, and i really don't think that's what you want.

i've spent a long time working for a king at this point. heavy is the head that wears the crown, and all that jazz. if you need someone to talk to, all you gotta do is ask.
